Since 1967, Carroll County has been making aluminum. Granges located here in 2016, looking for a growth opportunity in a rural area with excellent electricity and a reliable workforce. Manufacturing one million pounds of sheet aluminum daily, Granges has the most sophisticated milling in the Americas, making aluminum for the air conditioning and food container market. The Carroll County location employs more than 400 people, many of them mechanics, electricians, machinists and engineers.

Allegion, a $2 billion company with products sold in almost 130 countries, recently purchased Republic Doors and Frames in McKenzie. The manufacturer of hollow metal doors and frames is a logical complement to Allegion’s Steelcraft® brand and provides an excellent location for expanding their distribution footprint from Carroll County's strategic location.
G & C Supply Co.
Since 1974, G&C Supply Company has been a symbol of the dedication and family atmosphere found in Carroll County, and the owner still arrives at the office every day. G&C manufactures brass, ductile iron and PVC piping for water, sewer and gas, and water hydrants for local governments, as well as the metering equipment and tools to maintain the systems. The company also has a safety signage division. A mobile workshop provides wet tap and valve insertion at customer locations, an example of the company’s dedication to close customer relationships.
